I’m Dave Drummond, I’ve been taking photos since I was at school using an old Ensign camera. The only lapses were during my apprenticeship, girl friends & getting married – then our daughter came along, and the photography started up again.
I found my old camera was very limiting, thus came my first SLR, a Zenit-E, not a bad camera but heavy and had no exposure meter. This led me onto buy a Chinon CM3 with a motor drive – which meant that I could still use my old lenses.
At this time I joined the Mitcham Camera Club and started evening classes to learn developing & printing. I felt however, I was being held back by my equipment, so I invested in a Nikon FM2n and haven’t looked back! I now have an old computer printer and scanner but still use film.
All I have to do now is learn how to take a decent picture!
Dave's main photographic interests are Insects and Malta and if you're a Programme Secretary looking for a lecturer, Dave has an excellent illustrated talk on these subjects, so please get in touch! |
